The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe to debut in America
At the same show the fifth generation of the BMW M5 Sedan and the BMW 3 Series Sedan will also be showcased. New BMW 7 Series Models will also be on show for the public to test drive.
In line with celebrating the Concours’ 60th 12 Hours of Sebring, there will also be two winning BMW’s, the BMW 3.5 CSL from the year 1975 along with the BMW V12 LMR from the year 1999. The BMW Award for Engineering Excellence at the Concours will also be displayed.
The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe
The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe combines practically, wonderful driving dynamics and sportiness. Uniquely there is room for up to five passengers with great proportions within. It is very difficult to find a luxurious sporty type of coupe that delivers a great performance along with fitting five adults. Almost every desire is catered for in the BMW 6 Series Coupe.
The America there will be three different variants available. These include the 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe TwinPower Turbo inline 6 powered model which will the entry level design. Many expect to see this car in the summer. The 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe TwinPower Turbo V8 will arrive in the spring time as will the 2013 BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe which is an all wheel drive vehicle.
The BMW M5
The brand new BMW M5 will be one of the most desired vehicles in North America when it is released. The car is now in it’s fifth generation, with every one that is released being a ground breaker in terms of performance and technology.
This time it will be no different as BMW will install their most powerful engine ever into the car. There is expected to be a M-Double Clutch (M-DCT) gearbox which is a high torque 7 speed transmission. There will also be an Active M Differential which transfers the power to the rear wheels depending on which one is stronger. A standard 6 speed manual gearboxes will also be on offer.
The M5 will come with a wonderful M TwinPower Turbo which consists of V8 technology. It has High Precision Injection fuel direct injection along with Valvetronic fully variable valve control.
