BMW 6 Series Coupe
The new BMW 6 Series Coupe is one of the most anticipated cars of this year. With a price range of £59,656 to £71,840, you would expect the car to deliver on many fronts.
The car has been tested already by experts. Some have already said that after the car will be good enough to rival Maserati Granturismo. If the new BMW is to take on such a car, it must poses a great list of qualities which are difficult to match elsewhere. Can it really rival car’s within that particular category?
We take a look at findings of expert reviewers and see whether the BMW 6 Series Coupe cab live up to all the hype
Is there really a diesel engine on a 6 Series Coupe?
Unlike its rivals, there will be a diesel engine available, (named the 640d). A sports car such in this type of category doesn’t usually come with efficient eco-friendly type diesel variants. However don’t be fooled by the green credentials that the engine offers, the car still offers a mean performance. The 3.0 litre twin turbo engine can produce 309 BHP.
The opposing petrol variant is the same size engine yet more powerful offering 316 BHP. The 650i variant will be the most powerful option in the range. It’s a twin turbo 4.4 litre that can produce 401 BHP.
An amazing drive
As you may have guessed by the price tag and the fact that the car is a BMW, there is plenty of technology within to make the performance exciting and enjoyable.
BMW Drive Dynamic Control, which comes as standard with all models, allows the driver to define how the accelerator, steering and gearbox works according to their requirements.
As an extra option, there is an Adaptive Drive which costs £3,400. This feature allows the suspension to be electronically controlled and adjusted according to how the driver requires the ride of the car, whether that is under a comfort or under a sport setting.
M Sport Version
There will also be an M Sport version available. The BMW 6 Series Coupe’s holding the prestigious M badge will give the car larger alloys, more power and a lower ride.
This is all just a taster of what is to come. We think the car will be a massive hit when released. The convertible version has been available to purchase since March and has received many good reviews, so we expect the BMW 6 Series Coupe to be just as good.
