The 4 Series Update
BMW just recently updated the 4 series vehicle and it is set for release in the foreseeable future. We recently mentioned that there was going to be a huge reshuffle within the 4 Series as they set to try and dominate the compact executive coupé market. With both Audi and Mercedes looking to release new vehicles soon, BMW have had to act quickly on this facelift and they have done a fantastic job.
BMW will be offering two separate powertrains. There will be a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine with 248bhp and a 3.0 litre turbocharged inline-six engine which will be able to produce 320bhp. It has also been reported that the engines will be based upon a modular family tree of three, four and six cylinder engines. The 4 series will also benefit from multiple other upgrades to ensure that it is quicker, handles better and rides smoother.
The 4 Series’ powertrain are one of its biggest changes but, another big change will be evident in the cars technological upgrades. The updated 4 Series is expected to include BMW’s iDrive 5.0 infotainment system which includes a new home screen, hardware upgrades, wireless device charging, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth connections too.
Many in the motoring world have argued that there will not be any physical changes to the BMW. Many consumers still love the design which has been apparent since 2014, so that will not be changing at all. The design package for many BMW owners is what keeps them loyal to the brand and henceforth, not changing the design may be the best option.
The base model for this particular vehicle is expected to sell for over £45,000. But from the information gathered so far, the price will more than match the quality offered by BMW.
