The new BMW X135i

BMW-logo-bestThe BMW X135i will be designed exclusively for the American car market. The German luxury car company are adamant that they will retain their number one position in the world’s second largest car market and are using strong tactics to do so.

Firstly, it is a very fast vehicle considering its size and type. From 0 – 60 MPH, the car will record a time of 6.3 seconds, a very fast time indeed. The vehicle outputs 241 BHP and has a top speed of 130 MPH.

The previous version had an enormous amount of power, perhaps a bit too much. Now BMW have toned it down a bit and focused on adapting the vehicle to American needs. There were suggestions that the sales of their marquee vehicle, the BMW 3 Series, could be threatened by the previous X1. Clearly both vehicles were contradicting each other.

It will not be plain sailing for the BMW X135i. The BMW X128i represents a smarter purchase costing a lot less and being more economical. It has better body control and overall has a more superior balance to the vehicle overall.

Around the world the BMW X1 has managed to sell 275,000, making it one of the company’s best exports. BMW plans to start developing the car in China. It is the only X vehicle not to be built at the Spartanburg factory in the United States at the moment.

The seating position is quite low for a sports utility vehicle. You do not feel as if you are in command of the road. There is not a great of a space within the inside of the car. The rear seats are able to be folded down giving room where making the vehicle fairly practical.

The car may not sound like the most attractive to us but BMW have done their homework. Sports Utility Vehicles such as the X1 usually sell pretty well in the American market. We think the BMW X135i will sell pretty well in the North American market.
