BMW win major awards from Business Car magazine

BMW have won some well-respected awards from Business Car Magazine, one of the nation’s leading fleet magazines. We take a look at them in our article today.

The BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series has won the Business Car of the Year. Readers of the highly respected Business Car magazine awarded the 1 Series the prize thanks to its vast amount of qualities.

The car managed to fend off the likes of the Range Rover Evoque as well as the Ford Focus. Both cars are completely different from the BMW 1 Series in terms of category and type. Efficiency is on the top of most agenda’s throughout the automotive industry. The BMW 1 Series managed to become a lot more fuel efficient and friendly towards the environment whilst keeping its great performance levels.

Paul Barker comments

The Editor of the magazine, Paul Barker said that the manufacturer’s class when it comes to efficiency and quality swayed the votes. His exact words were “BMW’s impressive and class-leading combination of desirability, efficiency and driving pleasure has again shown itself, with this haul of awards, decided by the readers of Business Car, proving that the brand is at the forefront of the company car market.

“Across the range there is a model for every level of employee, each one offering low tax bills, good running costs and the premium BMW badge. The people running these vehicles and giving them to their staff obviously appreciate the job BMW is doing.”

Other awards

Other awards for BMW include the Manufacturer of the Year along with awards for the 3 Series, 7 Series and the X5 for their respective categories. The BMW 320d ED won the Green Model of the Year. This is the second consecutive year in which the car has won such an award.

Altogether BMW managed to win 6 awards at the ceremony. The German luxury car manufacturers produce cars which come with low running costs compared to rivals, containing ground breaking and highly sophisticated technology which keeps the car’s as green as possible.

BMW were once again the leading manufacturers in the UK last year. Winning awards of this stature will help the company maintain their position.
